NYC G&T Tutoring
G&T programs are one way that NYC meets the needs of exceptional students. Students applying for Kindergarten through 3rd Grade must take the NYC G&T Exam, which consists of the Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT®2) as well as the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test (OLSAT). NNAT Measures reasoning skills without the use of spoken language, while the OLSAT measures a child’s reasoning and comprehension skills, through the use of verbal directions.
At the tutoring center, our tutors work with children to cover all 4 areas of NNAT (Pattern Completion, Reasoning by Analogy, Serial Reasoning, Spatial Visualization) along with all 3 areas of the OLSAT (Aural Reasoning, Arithmetic Reasoning and Following Directions). We also teach the soft skills that your child will be needing on testing day: Stamina, Focus, Thinking through answer choices, and Comfort with the test proctor.
